Natural handmade soaps are the best soaps to use on your skin because these soaps do not strip your skin of its natural oils. And, if you have dry or mature skin try using a bar of coconut milk soap. Your skin will feel hydrated and moisturized. This is due to the fatty acids in the milk.
Coconut milk also helps to build collagen, which we lose as we get older, where we start to see wrinkles, and the sagging of the skin. Our skin is not as tight as it used to be when we were younger. Which is noticeable on the face. So, not only does it have anti-aging properties, it also has antibacterial and antimicrobial properties.
There are different types of milk that you can use in soapmaking. I tend to stay away from any type of animal milk such as cow’s milk, donkey milk, and goat’s milk. They all have their benefits. But I like to use plant milks in my soap. One of my favorite milk to soap with, is Almond milk. Oat milk is on my list to experiment with.
This luxurious soap was made specifically to use on my face for soothing, nourishing, and moisturizing. Coconut milk is the star. Other skin loving ingredients were added such as, Olive oil, Coconut oil, Palm oil, Avocado oil, Sunflower oil, and Castor oil. Lye was added because you can’t make soap without lye.
This soap will cure for 6 weeks before it will be used. I can’t wait.
