Making A Nourishing Hair Balm

December 31, 2025 by Connie Leave a Comment

I have been experiencing dry hair and needed something that was nourishing and moisturizing; so, I made a hair balm. This balm has pumpkin seed oil, which has fatty acids such as oleic and linoleic which is very nourishing for dry hair. Other key ingredients include amla and fenugreek powders infused in olive oil. And herbs such as coltsfoot, horsetail, nettle, sage, and rosemary, also infused in olive oil to condition and strengthen the hair.

Ingredients:

Phase A

49.5% Olive Oil Infusion

15% Beeswax

14% Coconut Oil

8% Pumpkin Seed Oil

6% Shea Butter

3% Castor Oil

2% Mango Butter

Phase B

2% Lavender Essential Oil

0.5% Vitamin E Oil

Instructions:

Weigh Phase A ingredients in a glass bowl and place in a water bath to melt on low heat.

Weigh the Phase B ingredients in two separate glass bowls.

When the Phase A ingredients have cooled down to 120 degrees Fahrenheit, combine the Phase B ingredients.

Pour into a tin jar to solidify.
